FolderLook is a simple-to-use application that gives you the possibility to assign icons to folders and edit their description. It features intuitive options that can be tackled with ease by all types of users, even those less experienced with enhancement tools who are constantly looking for ways to personalize their operating system.

Setup, prerequisites, and interface

Installing it doesn't take long and requires minimal attention, since here are only familiar steps displayed in the wizard. However, you must have Windows Installer and .NET Framework to be able to work with this tool.
When it comes to the interface, FolderLook opts for a standard window with a clear-cut appearance. It's evident that it attempts to make its layout as user-friendly as possible.

Set folder icons and descriptions

A directory can be indicated with the help of the folder structure. It's possible to include the icon in the target folder, set the directory description, as well as apply the changes with the click of a button. We are also taking into account that it hasn't received updates for a long time.
