FoldersReport

FoldersReport is a very small and portable tool designed to show file information on any folder, including its subdirectories.

Portability advantages

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can put the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.
There is also the possibility to save FoldersReport to a pen drive or other removable storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort and without prior installers.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the HDD without your consent.

Pick a directory to investigate

At initialization you are required to point out the folder you want to inspect. The interface is represented by a regular frame with a simple and organized structure.

View and save information

Details on all identified subfolders include the full path, total file size, size on disk, number of files, hidden, compressed, read-only and system files, folders, level, along with the date of creation and last modification.
It is possible to copy selected items to the Clipboard, save all information to TXT or HTML format, use a search function to locate a particular folder, as well as open a directory in Explorer.
FoldersReport is very low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the PC. We have not come across any issues in our testing, as the tool did not freeze, crash or pop up error messages. User documentation is included.
