Choosing to create a backup only requires you to select a destination folder, and a bit of patience, because it can take some time if the collection is abundant.

Keep your font collection safe

It’s best if you pick an empty folder for backup, because what the application does is simply extract all fonts from the corresponding system folder, and copies them to the specified location. It’s a thing you can do yourself, but the application wants to make it easier. Also, you might want to archive the entire folder, so it doesn’t get infected with malicious programs in the meantime.
Installing fonts is done pretty much in the reverse manner. In other words, your effort narrows down to selecting the folder that holds the fonts you want to install. Drag and drop can’t be used, but you can paste one or more folders. Sadly, there’s no built-in search function to look up other fonts online.

All in all, Windows comes with a staggering amount of fonts by default, but changes are the collection doubled in the meantime, and it’s close to impossible to keep track of all of them.
