Fortop FLV Player

Fortop FLV Player is a software with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to play video files with the FLV format.
The interface of the program is clean and intuitive. You can import videos by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
So, you can use basic media player functions, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the stream, adjust the volume and switch to full screen mode.
But you can also jump forward or backward, mute the volume, change the aspect ratio, zoom in and out, as well as view file information (e.g. encoder, dimension, frame rate, bit rate).
Additionally, you can extract the sound of a FLV player to the MP3 format by simply specifying the output destination and file name, as well as set Fortop FLV Player as the default player for FLV videos and enable it to stay on top of other processes.
The simple-to-use tool runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a very good response time and didn't freeze, crash or display errors during our tests. The sound quality of the extracted MP3 files is very good.
On the other hand, some essential features are missing. For example, you cannot create and save playlists. Also, there is no help file available and Fortop FLV Player seems to have some stability issues with Windows 7, since the mouse cursor has been affected by the tool's installation during our tests (we eventually had to remove it from our systems and reboot).
All in all, Fortop FLV Player is a very good video player for FLV files and we strongly recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward application.
