fototidy Description
Fototidy makes it possible for you to sort photos as soon as you transfer them from the camera, so as to create an organized collection from the start.
Process all your images in one go
Focusing on simplicity and speed, this application features a one-window interface where all the graphic editing options are one-click away. As expected, there is a preview area where you can take a look at the result before actually saving the files.
Fototidy is only compatible with JPG images, but it allows batch operations. This means that you just have to select your photo folder and all the supported pictures will be automatically loaded to the processing queue.
Rename, rotate and resize images
With the help of this application you can quickly rename images in your collection, compress them to increase the available storage space and add a simple text to the input pictures, so as to identify them easier. The user can also set the text position.
Other options enable you to rotate images and resize the width, height or both, add it a custom colored frame and a simple or a ragged border of a specific dimension.
Fototidy can process single images or entire folders in one go, allowing you to save the output to a location of your choice.
Photo sorting tool that needs improvements
Fototidy is not created to be an advanced photo organizer, but it does offer basic options to help you sort the photos you transfer from your camera.
Even so, it has a long way to go before it can meet the requirements of all users. For instance, it would come in handy if users could add a rating to their images, so as to avoid mixing good photos with bad ones. And expanding the range of supported image formats to include raw photos would also add to its value.
