Fourier Pitch/Tempo Control

Designed for integration with the Winamp audio player, Fourier Pitch/Tempo Control is a DSP plugin that facilitates a simple method for controlling the pitch and tempo while playing music.
Winamp used to have such a function in its early stages of development but it was regrettably removed in newer versions. This is the reason why this plugin was developed, based on the Fourier transform. This mathematical method is used for decompiling a signal, in order to obtain the frequencies that comprised it in the first place. For example, a signal is represented by musical notes, while the volume level of the notes represent the frequencies.
The plugin has two subroutines: for adjusting the pitch independently from the tempo, as well as for modifying the tempo while keeping the pitch and tempo ratio constant. This can be done by just moving a couple of sliders while playing music until you find the right balance.
If at least one of the subroutines is not required, both are automatically disabled by the program and receive an asterisk next to their name. In order to set up this tool, all you have to do is copy the downloaded .dll file to Winamps plugins directory and enable it from the preferences menu.System requirementsWinamp
