Foxwave Description

Foxwave is a free microwave link budget calculator. It should be useful to anyone setting up cellular, wireless broadband, WiFi, point-to-point TDM backhaul links, or even amateur radio microwave projects. Some of its features include a free space path loss calculator, received signal level calculation, dish antenna gain calculation, conversion of frequency to wavelength and vice versa, and conversion of transmitter power between watts, milliwatts, and dBm.The link budget tab allows you to specify parts of a link, and Foxwave will calculate the missing component. This feature is especially useful for setting the transmit power level on satellite and point-to-point links, but is also useful where one side of a link is already set up and the required antenna gain for the other side needs to be calculated. All of the calculations allow you to print or save them as neatly formatted HTML files. For documentation purposes, you may add notes to the reports before they are printed, and each printout includes a footer that displays the date it was generated and the user who printed it.If you enjoy this program, particularly if you are using it in a commercial environment, please consider buying a license at our product page.
