Fred. Framsticks Editor Description
The Framsticks project was developed to study evolution processes in a simulated world. It relies on simulations of the real world and uses basic evolution mechanisms to create efficient artificial organisms. Each of the physical structures, known as bodies, along with the control systems or brains of the creatures need to be modeled.
This is where Fred. Framsticks Editor steps in. The program provides you with a sturdy environment for building models of creatures and creating artificial life. In order to properly work, the application requires you to have Java installed and running on your computer.
Robust editor for artificial life models
With the help of Fred. Framsticks Editor, you can create your own artificial life models, in order to test how they would evolve in a simulated environment. You can do so by building a basic model of a creature, then import it into Framsticks and see how they develop and evolve.
Each model should consist of parts, joints, neural networks (neurons) and connections. Since each of these basic components are referenced, they are interconnected by a set of rules or properties which, depending on the object in focus, can be mandatory or not.
Dependable tool for modeling artificial life
Relying on the main program (Framsticks) for simulated environment support, Fred. Framsticks Editor allows you to create advanced creature models that mimic the evolutionary behavior of real creatures.
These models can provide essential data about artificial life behavior, or simulate how real creatures developed under a certain environment, which has its specific evolutionary and life-interacting factors.
A potent artificial life model generator
All in all, Fred. Framsticks Editor allows you to create base models for artificial life simulations, using parts, joints, neural networks and connections in just a couple of minutes. Although these models need to be loaded and tested into Framsticks and its simulated environments, the editor is powerful enough to help you build detailed models with all sort of evolutionary behaviors.
