Free PDF Merger Description
Free PDF Merger is a small software application developed specifically for helping you combine two PDF files into a single item. It can be deployed on all Windows flavors out there.
Simplistic design
It takes only a fast and simple installation process in order to gain access to the tool’s features. The GUI looks highly intuitive so you can learn to work with the dedicated parameters in a short amount of time. You cannot read more about the program’s merging capabilities in a help manual.
PDF files can be imported in the working environment using the built-in browse button (the drag-and-drop support is not implemented). You cannot preview the PDF content directly in the main window so you need to appeal to a third-party dedicated utility.
PDF merging capabilities
Free PDF Merger offers you the possibility to select two user-defined PDF files. In order to carry out the merging process, you just need to pick the saving directory and provide a filename.
Tests have shown that the application carries out the merging task very quickly and without errors. It remains light on system resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
On the downside, there’s no support for advanced options so professional users may be disappointed by the poor support for configuration settings. You are not allowed to select the pages that you want to process, merge more than two PDF files into a single item, set up owner and user passwords, and add information about the output PDF file (e.g. title, author, description), just to name a few suggestions.
Final remarks
To sum things up, Free PDF Merger comes packed with several basic features and provides limited functionality for helping you merge PDF files. It is suitable especially for less experienced users who do not have the time to set up complex parameters.
