Free QR Creator

Free QR Creator is a simple-to-use Windows app that permits the easy creation of multipurpose QR codes, featuring an export option.
It comes packed with a pretty intuitive set of features that should not impose any difficulties to users from any category as far as experience is concerned.
Setting up the tool is rapid and uncomplicated, thanks to familiar buttons. The interface does not contain visually stunning elements, yet it is easy to get around.
The first step is selecting between micro QR code and QR code ISO 18004. Data can be either typed, pasted or loaded from file.
The bar code can be previewed in the main frame, and it is possible to zoom in and out, rotate it, customize its background and foreground color, along with the border type and width.
Once finished, the barcode can be exported to an image file with the BMP, PNG, JPG, GIF, TIFF or EMF format for safekeeping and further processing in external apps. Alternatively, it can be copied to the Clipboard. There are no other notable options available here.
Free QR Creator does not hog system resources, since it uses a light amount of CPU and memory. It executes a command without problems. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
Excluding the fact that it does not have rich features, Free QR Creator is pretty straightforward in creating QR barcodes and suitable for all user levels.
There is also a portable edition available, in case you want to bypass the installer and run the tool directly from a pen drive.
