Unlock encrypted archives

As its title suggests, Free RAR Password Unlocker can handle RAR archives, but it also supports managing encrypted ZIP and 7z files. The tool can come in handy when you need to access important files stored within such an encoded container, but you have lost or forgotten the password.
Unlike programs that remove the encryption and require that you provide the keyphrase, Free RAR Password Unlocker can decrypt the files even if you do not know the key. Of course, its purpose is to help you recover passwords for your own files, it is not to be used for illicit goals.

Customize the decoding method

Free RAR Password Unlocker features three decoding algorithms, namely brute force, masked brute force and the dictionary attack. The process can be customized, from the Settings window, where you can specify the length range of the password and the know character sets.
For instance, if you know that the password is composed only of digits, you can choose this option and deselect the other character types. These filters can reduce the duration of the process significantly; otherwise, a brute force algorithm can take several hours to find the key. The task can be paused or stopped at any time, plus you can observe the progress, in the lower segment of the interface.

Quickly add files for analysis

The main panel in Free RAR Password Unlocker is where you can load the files you wish to be analyzed. All you need to do is drag and drop them into the dedicated box in the program’s interface. Moreover, you can add several files, the program can process all of them consecutively.
