FreeRAM XPlus Description

Temporary data of every running application is stored in the RAM, so it’s easily accessible every time it’s required, as long as the computer is running. Needless to say that everything uses at least a little bit of memory, so you can easily end up with low performance. Luckily, you can rely on applications like FreeRAM XPlus to get the job done.

Silently optimizes memory from the tray area

It takes little time for the application to get deployed on your computer. The first time it’s launched, you’re asked whether or not to allow it to run with Windows, so that it always attempts to optimize the memory for your. This option can also be toggled later on, so you don’t need to rush with the initial decision.
The application usually stays in the tray area, silently doing its job while you’re attending your tasks. It’s a good idea though, to bring up the settings panel to get an idea of what and how gets optimized. Although the application can be left to automatically handle memory values, you can also take matters into your own hands.

Set clean trigger values for time or memory

The free values of CPU and RAM are shown in the window, while the tray icon displays the available memory. You can define a value to attempt to be freed from RAM, as well as automatic option, either every several seconds, or whenever free RAM is below a specific value.
For a bit more performance, there’s an option which can disable the program whenever CPU consumption rate is above a specific percentage. The tray menu lets you optimize regularly, as well as at alarm level. There’s also a function to restart the program in case it ceases to respond, although it’s hardly the case.

To end with

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that FreeRAM XPlus is a lightweight, yet reliable application you can use to free up some ram whenever you experience drops in performance. Different settings can be configured for automatic processing, so you can attend to your tasks while the application takes care of the memory.
