FTP Scheduler Description
FTP Scheduler is an application that is aimed to help you automate file transfer between your computer and a FTP server.
It allows you to both download and upload files automatically in a simple manner, without going through a complicated configuration process.
FTP Scheduler displays a user-friendly interface and has all its features and functions available in the main window. Everything is in plain sight and organized in a comprehensive manner.
Before you start using the application, you first need to fill out the login information. FTP Scheduler is able to connect to just about any valid FTP server after you enter login information such as server address, FTP port, login name, password and is also able to use a proxy in the process.
While running, the application displays an indicator for the server status and allows you to use a watchdog that terminates the FTP session after a given number of minutes, enabling you to work more efficiently with unreliable connections.
FTP Scheduler offers a simple and straightforward method in which the files are uploaded and stored. You set a local path on your computer that contains the files you want to upload and then write down the extensions for them. The same applies for instances when you want to download files.
The application allows you to choose between FTP modes such as ‘Passive’ or ‘Active’ and ‘ASCII’ or ‘Binary’ formats. If anything should go wrong with the transfer, FTP Scheduler can keep an activity log so you have a clue of what happened. You also get an option that allows you to append files and create a duplicate of them. In case the files you are uploading or downloading already exist on the server, the application is able to overwrite them.
In closing, FTP Scheduler is by all means a handy tool to have around when you want to transfer files to and from your computer using a FTP.
