FZLyrics

Music holds an important role in many people's lives and often people can connect with the lyrics of a particular song. FZLyrics is an application that allows users to create and customize the lyrics to a song, making it viewable in multiple formats.

The initial interface is perhaps a bit basic, not making it clear how the application works 

When users first load up FZLyrics, they will be presented with what is essentially a blank screen and no options or buttons that can be pressed. To set up FZLyrics, users have to first open it, then right click the screen to access the properties. Once the properties window is opened, users can select the directory path to locate any lyrics, as well as any sources.
To access the FZLyrics Editor, users can open it via the contextual menu in FZLyrics. The Editor presents a range of options and icons that are easy to navigate and understand, with a straightforward text editor that users should automatically be familiar with. More help documentation and a better starting interface would go a long way to making the program more user friendly.

Despite the simplistic interface, FZLyrics makes up for it with a variety of support features and editing options. Users can access lyrics from multiple different file formats, create their own lyric files and access lyrics on CDs. The actual text editor includes options to change the size, font, and color of any created lyrics, making them easy to read and understand, as well as changing the background of the display.
FZLyrics also includes full Winamp support, allowing users to play any audio file while they write the lyrics themselves. The application provides a feature that enables users to play a five second segment, making it much easier to write the lyrics without having to constantly pause and play the audio.

A useful lyric editing and creation tool, with an interface and layout that could be improved

All in all, FZLyrics is a useful program with helpful features, yet there are clear paths for improvement. FZLyrics should include a directory browser and file loading button on the main window, rather than hidden in the options. Help documentation should also be improved, to guide users who might be unsure or confused in how to proceed, however, that doesn't change the fact that the features are there for those who can use decipher them.
