Garfield 2 Clock

Garfield is one of the most popular cartoon characters ever created. First published in the late 70’s, Garfield has since evolved from comic strips to animations and even movies. Garfield 2 Clock is a nice widget that can decorate your desktop.
The gadget requires Yahoo! Widget Engine to work and can be placed anywhere on your screen. The app can be customized by accessing the widget preferences. Thus, you can choose one of the available “Catitude” modes: “Lounge cat” or “Royal cat”. While the first displays Garfield in a pose we’d all expect to see him in, the second brings forth some royal decorations, such as a crown, a cape and a sparkling ruby ring.
The software comes with the ability to chime every 15 minutes, half hour or on the hour. However, you can also disable this function; since the chime sound is a loud belch, it might not be to everyone’s liking.
Furthermore, you can have the widget always remain on top of other software. Another option you can adjust is “Ignore Mouse”; with this setting activated, the widget ignores all mouse events. Additionally you can prevent accidentally moving the Garfield Clock from its place. The transparency level can also be adjusted.
Garfield 2 Clock also comes with another function. If you double click on the animation, a speech bubble appears near the cat’s head, displaying various “thoughts”. Also, Garfield blinks, moves his ears and paws.
All in all Garfield 2 Clock is a nice application if you’re a fan of the character. Thus, you can always know what time it is and enjoy the most famous lazy cat.
