Gerz Clock gives you the possibility to choose between different clock styles, show or hide the calendar, reveal RSS feeds by selecting from different preset options or adding your own feeds to the list, as well as display the weather forecast for the selected cities. Additionally, you can make the utility indicate the weather information and RSS feeds for a user-defined time.
What’s more, the program allows you to insert a background song (MP3 file format), select a custom background image (JPG) and set its transparency, play chimes, and reveal a countdown timer.
Other notable characteristics worth being mentioned are represented by the possibility to set up reminders by entering a custom text message, specifying its position on the screen (x and y values), and altering the text in terms of font, size, and color, automatically update RSS feeds and weather data when you run the screensaver or at a user-defined time, as well as reveal snow and fireworks animations at the desired date (and enable sound effects).
During our testing we have noticed that Gerz Clock provides excellent image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It remains light on the system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

Bottom line

To sum things up, Gerz Clock comes packed with a multitude of features for animating your desktop activity. On the downside, the menu is not transplanted accurately, so you may need some extra time to understand each built-in parameter.
