Giant Dogs

Giant Dogs (GD) is a body weight (BW) predictor for pet dogs weighing 100 pounds and more. The growth model used in GD allows prediction of BW from 1 week old until 75 weeks. As such GD is an easy and convenient tool for making growth charts for giant pet dogs. Pet owners can assess growth of their animal companions easily and at any time during its growing period until maturity. Six dog breeds (the Anatolian Sheep Dog, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound, Newfoundland, Rottweiler and the Saint Bernard) are provided specific growth models in GD. Owners of the other giant breeds may use the generic weight calculator to construct their own growth charts. A database containing the profile of giant dog breeds comes with Giant Dogs. This database may be edited. Giant Dogs will run in PDAs operating under Palm OS 3.5 and higher. This program will fit the needs of pet owners, dog breeders, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians.
