Glossa Description
When learning a new language or working on complicated projects, it's always useful to have a dictionary at hand so you can look up words that you don't know.
Fortunately, there are many applications that help you with just that. One of them is Glossa. It's a small and modern Latin dictionary that lets you look up multiple words.
Small and lightweight graphical interface
The application installs quickly and it sports a really intuitive and clean graphical interface with some tools that you can check out. It doesn't come any customization options, which is quite inconvenient.
It would have been nice if you could switch to a compact mode or have the application stay on top of other windows on your computer. It also doesn't have any tips or instructions for getting accustomed to the application faster.
Look up words easily
You simply need to type in words in the search bar and the application will find matches it its dictionary. All words that you've looked up are displayed neatly at the top of the window, so you can check them out easily.
It also comes with a tool that allows you to look up highlighted words and it displays a list of similar words at the side of the screen. It displays the meaning of the word, together with the word's etymology.
Some issues and few features
It has trouble finding certain words in the dictionary, it seems that the application lacks explanations for some of the most popular Latin words. Therefore, if you're looking for a more detailed Latin dictionary, this is not the one.
It would be nice if you could export information to other applications on your computer. All in all, Glossa is a small and nice dictionary filled with all sort of words in Latin, but it definitely needs some more options.
