Google Chrome Password Recovery Tool Description
Like most browsers, Google Chrome keeps all your browser data secure in a file that it encrypts and keeps on your computer.
In that file the browser stores detailed information about your browsing history and login credentials for all the visited websites. But this only applies for the cases in which you willingly allow the browser to record that login data. The purpose of this file is to store the credentials on your computer so when you revisit a site, you don’t have to re-enter the information.
This though can have a disadvantage. If you’re not used to writing down your passwords and usernames for safe keeping, and you forget them, then you need to recover all the information. Worst case scenario, you forget all the data you entered while creating an account and have no way of requesting the credentials from the website’s support personnel.
In this case you can use a tool such as Google Chrome Password Recovery Tool. And from its name, you can guess what it does. When you run it, it locates the Chrome internal database and looks for the file that stores the data you need. When you run it, it automatically starts loading login and Web data from Chrome. If the application can’t locate the appropriate file you can manually load it from your hard drive.
With the file loaded, the application proceeds to extract original and action URLs, usernames, passwords and other data that was used in the login process. The information you extract isn’t sorted in any way so you have to browse through it to find what you are looking for. You can also select the entire generated text and copy it to a document.
With that in mind, Google Chrome Password Recovery Tool is an utility that can really help you in extreme cases when there is no other way of recovering your login credentials and it should only be used in those cases.
