E-books are becoming increasingly popular thanks to how easy they are to carry around. GooReader is a program that can help you search, find and read books and magazines from Google Play (formerly Google Books).
The app comes with a simple interface and an intuitive layout.
The program connects to the Google account and imports all the items related to it. They appear as if they are placed on shelves. Searching for a particular item, whether book or magazine, is an easy job.
If you hold your mouse over any of the titles, several options are made available. Details regarding the books can be viewed, such as the name of the author, the number of pages, the year the book was published and even the ISBN code.
The tomes can be added to the library, deleted from the shelf or saved to PDF.
In order to see the contents of any of the books, they must be opened in the integrated reader. Here, the mouse scroll plays the role of a zooming tool, while the right and left keyboard arrows can turn the page. Despite the fact that the tomes are in an electronic format, the software still displays a page-turning effect every time you press the specific buttons.
The app allows some settings to be made. For instance, you can adjust the number of results shown on the page, the PDF resolution and the page width in pixels. Furthermore, you can have the program log into Google Library at system startup.
All in all, GooReader is a nice program that can help you organize and read any e-book you want. Inexperienced users should have no problems working with this software.
