GraphExplorer Description

Sure enough working with math expressions in the form of characters can leave you scratching your head, but plotting them reveals the true beauty of math. In this regard, specialized applications like GraphExplorer want to help you understand what expressions look like in a graphical environment.

Perks of portability, and graph controls

A cool advantage is the application requires no installation in order to function, and can be used directly from a USB flash drive on other computers as well. In addition, system registries are not a dependency, and are thus left intact, so you don’t have to worry about affecting the target computer’s health status.
The application can plot two types of graphs, namely Polar, and Cartesian. This is selected from the mode menu, with the result updating in real time. Most of the main window space is the preview area, with which you can interact in order to pan the display, zoom, or return to the center at the press of a button.

Examples, and export options

Equations are written down in a dedicated field, and must contain at least one variable, with values which need to be filled in, both for minimum, and maximum. Additionally, you can set the reference point to values between 0 and 1.
In case you don’t really know how expressions need to be written down, there is an abundance of examples suitable for both Cartesian, and Polar graph modes. You’re free to experiment on those expressions, or try out some complex operations to see the plotted result. Saving, however, can only be done under the BMP file format, with no direct print function.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that GraphExplorer is a cool application you can use to visualize complex math expressions, to bring the fun out of hard work. It’s portable, so you can carry it around, while the large preview area, and corresponding controls allow you to easily navigate, and analyze the plotted graph.
