Graphical Asymmetric Encryption Tool is a Java application designed to help you encrypt and decrypt your files with little effort, using public and private keys.

Simple design

The program is packed in a clean and straightforward interface, composed of a single window, where all the available tools are grouped together.
Even though it might seem complicated to use at first glance, the intuitive steps provided make sure that there are no accommodation issues to any kind of users, even those less familiarized with this type of utility.

Protecting your files

To be able to encrypt and decrypt your files, a pair of public and private keys must be used. In order to get them, a name and password must be specified. The keys are automatically generated by the tool. The public key is stored in .gpub format and the private keys in .gpri format.
Once the process is done, simply load the public key, add the file you wish to secure, and then proceed with the encryption task. The resulted files are saved with the .enc extension.
To decrypt your files, load the private key, import the previously encrypted item, enter your password, and the file will be automatically decrypted.
Graphical Asymmetric Encryption Tool gives you the possibility to compress your files before securing them.
During our evaluation, we have noticed that the tool carries out encryption and decryption tasks very quickly and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so it doesn’t slow down the overall performance of the computer.
