Hash is a tiny and portable software application that can quickly determine the checksum of a file. This type of tool is commonly used to verify a file's integrity and find out whether two files are identical or not, for example when downloading items from the Internet. It offers support for MD5, SHA1 and CRC32.

Portability advantages

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can save the executable item to any part of the hard disk and just click it to launch Hash. Another option is to save it to a removable storage unit (like a pen drive), in order to run it on any PC directly and without any other installers. Results show the full path, size, date and time of modification, along with MD5, SHA1 and CRC32 signature for each file. Any of these fields can be deselected prior to the calculation, while details can be copied to the Clipboard or saved to file for closer examination and safekeeping.
