This service manages the status lights on WHS servers. It supports the following functions:
Â· When the service runs it stops the blinking of the health light. For now there is no health management, this will come in a future version.
Â· The service monitors disk status and changes the lights according to the original HP MSS server software.
Â· No disk or disk offline: off
Â· Disk online but not assigned in WHS: blinking aqua
Â· Disk online with shared folders or assigned as backup disk: aqua
Â· The brightness level can be changed through the configuration file. Open the "C:\Program Files\HP MediaSmart Server\HpMssService.exe.config" file and change the value of "HPMSS.LedBrightnessLevel" to a level between 0 and 9.
