HTMLify Description
Programming languages rely on text, so writing is a pretty important computer activity. Any coding type can be written as plain text, but it’s up to specialized applications to build or convert it to a proper format. For instance, HTMLify is used to convert any kind of plain text into HTML code you can embed in your web projects.
Can be used on the go
You need to have Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer for the application to function. This means you’re able to use it on other types of operating systems. What’s more, HTMLify doesn’t require installation, so you can carry it on a thumb drive if you want or need to use on other computers.
The visual design is simple, yet intuitive. Split into two sections, one is used as input, while the other shows the corresponding built HTML code. Input is done in one of several ways, which can be writing text inside the input area, paste from clipboard, or use the browse dialog to load source from a TXT file.
Save converted code as HTML
Text isn’t converted on the spot, and you need to hit the “convert†button for this to be possible. Result is displayed in an instant, with code neatly organized in a row layout. There aren’t any special elements such as syntax highlighting or line counting, nor are they really necessary.
One method of saving the result is to manually copy it to clipboard, but you can also use the save function to build a HTML file. Accessing the settings panel allows you to set default source and destination folders so you save some time and effort later on.
On an ending note
All things considered, we can state that HTMLify is a cool application you can use to convert any kind of text into HTML code you can embed into your web projects. You can load existing files and build the corresponding HTML files, while conversion is done at the press of a button.
