IDM CC

There are many advantages download managers can bring to any user, including faster downloads, support for grabbing online videos or browser integration. Among the many accelerators and managers of this kind, Internet Download Manager (IDM) is one of the most appreciated tools and it has a special gimmick for Firefox users, called IDM CC.
This extension was designed in order to extend the capabilities of the Internet browser and allow its users to get the files they want in less time than it would take if the old-fashioned method would be employed.
IDM CC's main function is to transfer all downloads it catches from Firefox directly to Internet Download Manager . It also adds some extra context menu entries so upon right-clicking a link, the user can choose one of the following options: 'Download with IDM', 'Download all links with IDM' or 'Download FLV video with IDM'.
The latter option has an extra menu that will make it possible for anyone to get not only the last requested clip, but actually select the target from among the 10 last requested Flash videos. After IDM CC is installed and enabled in Firefox, each time a page with a web player is accessed, the extension will bring up the Internet Download Manager Download Panel.
As one would expect, it is necessary to have Internet Download Manager  installed onto the computer where this extension is used otherwise nothing can be done with IDM CC alone. Besides increasing the download speed and offering resume capabilities, the external program that takes care of all the transfers comes with support for accelerating multimedia files and for a wide variety of Internet protocols.
To sum things up, it's safe to say that IDM CC is indeed a true helper for Firefox users, even though it only favors those who have Internet Download Manager set-up onto their systems.
