IISxpress for IIS Description

IISxpress compresses response data on-the-fly to maximize your web servers data throughput. This means less bandwidth usage by your server resulting in improved responsiveness and lower costs. Using ZLIB technology IISxpress is capable of compression ratios up to 10:1 on typical Web content while retaining full HTTP standard and client browser compatibility. IISxpress knows what file types compress well (HTML, CSS, XML) and which file types do not (ZIP, JPG, GIF) reducing the CPU overhead by only compressing content where it will get significant gains.

Version 2.1 supports Windows Vista, integrates compression cache for lightning fast response times, and features true multi-core support - select any combination of CPU cores to use for compression tasks or let IISxpress load balance automatically.
