Image Frame

Taking images is a fun activity for many people, yet there are also users who are more interested in applying various changes to their images after they have been copied to the PC.
One of the tools that can be used for image tweaking features is Image Frame, designed as a Photoshop-compatible plug-in and capable of applying a frame to any of the selected images.

Simple functionality

The utility comes with simple, straightforward capabilities. Just as its name suggests, it allows users to add frames to their photos, and this is the only thing that it can do.
However, it does include a wide range of frame types, while also providing users with the possibility to customize their own, so as to personalize their photos in the manner they consider to be best fit.

Add text to frames

The plug-in also allows users to add text to their images, while also providing them with the option to choose between rectangular and elliptical frames, as well as to modify the frame profile and material.
Users can change the size of the frame, while also being offered with the option to modify its transparency, and to apply specific effects to parts of the frame, all with a few mouse clicks. They can also change the color of the frame at all times, from the “Illumination” window.
The utility comes with a series of pre-loaded frame presets, but users can also define their own and apply them to their images, for increased personalization capabilities.

No support for newer Photoshop versions

One thing that users should keep in mind regarding this plug-in is the fact that it won't work with the latest version of Photoshop. Considering the fact that it is rather old, it might not work with some of the latest editions of the Adobe application either.
We should also note that the software does not apply the selected effects instantly, but that it does so with a small delay. In all fairness, we tested it in a Photoshop compatible app, and it might behave differently when used with Adobe's tool.

All in all, Image Frame is a simple, straightforward plug-in that allows users to easily add frames to their photos to beautify them. It includes various frame customization options, in addition to featuring pre-loaded effects, but users might not be able to enjoy its features on newer Photoshop versions.
