ImageToSound Description

Developers like to invest their time and energy into creating useful and attractive software for all types of users. Thus, an image has ceased to be just a pretty portrait or a lovely landscape, since it can now hide text messages or be used to create sounds. For this last purpose, one could use ImageToSound.
The application installs without any issues and the only note that needs to be made is that the tool needs to be run with administrative privileges in order to run.
The graphic interface is intuitive and user-friendly, and it becomes obvious that one first needs to browse to the BMP file they want to process, then specify the location for the output WAV file. Some sample files are included, to help users get started with the app’s functions.
Depending on the source image, the application displays its corresponding sound information, namely the samples per seconds and the number of milliseconds.
The only value that can be customized within ImageToSound is the sample rate for the output WAV - it is advisable to leave it at its default value and generate a file, then change it only if the generated sound is not satisfactory.
One can also test the target sound before saving it to the chosen folder, so that users do not need to actually save all their experiments to the PC until they find the best sound.
It also need to be mentioned that the resulting audio stream depends entirely on the source image, so the same file cannot generate different sounds, no matter how many attempts one makes.
To conclude, as entertaining as ImageToSound might be, it still leaves a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to customizing the output file’s properties. Also, it only supports BMP as the source format and WAV as the output one, so those who want to turn other graphic formats into sounds are advised to look for a more advanced app.
