ImgConverter

ImgConverter is an application with a title that pretty much explains its functionality - it allows you to change the format of your images. But you can also resize them.
This is a portable software, so installing ImgConverter is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on an external device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry items will not be changed.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to work with. Thanks to the Explorer-based layout, you can easily locate and access image files for processing.
So, all you have to do is establish the output destination, new resolution (preset or custom) and file type (JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, PNG), in order to proceed with the conversion job.
The simplistic program takes up a very low amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a conversion task and preserves a good image quality. We haven't encountered any problems during our tests. Unfortunately, ImgConverter doesn't offer any extraordinary features or include a help file. Plus, the interface is outdated. We recommend this tool with reservations.
