With 6 brush types, 3 brush stroke algorithms, and 88 parameters to give each an unprecedented amount of variety, Impression FX is the most versatile paint engine ever created. The sheer variety of effects that can be produced with a single pass of the filter is what makes it worthwhile. Just like with paint, the filter creates texture and character, while softening unnecessary details. Many settings exist that create convincing paint effects, but the addition of Paint Logic and 80 different blending modes gives a wide variety of effects that look nothing like paint (in a good way).
