IP Port Analyzer Description
IP Port Analyzer is a tool that shows a list with Internet connections established by your running programs, enabling you to study open ports. It contains a couple of intuitive options that can be quickly figured out, even by those less experienced with such software.
Old, yet functional application
Before proceeding any further, you should know that the program hasn't received updates for a long time and doesn't work on 64-bit processors. Moreover, it doesn't have management settings to help you control established connections, since it acts only as a viewer.
View and save port details
It autodetects the web-based applications at startup and shows the protocol, local and remote address and port number, along with the ID and name of each process.
Displayed information can be saved to a plain text document by specifying the output directory and file name. Apart from the fact that you can refresh data, there are no other notable options provided by this utility.
No installation required
IP Port Analyzer isn't wrapped in a setup pack. Instead, you can copy the downloaded files to a preferred directory on the disk or to a USB flash drive to seamlessly launch it on any computer with as little effort as possible.
It doesn't modify system registry settings or create files on the HDD without your permission. The source code is also available in the downloaded package and can be examined by programmers or those interested in coding.
Evaluation and conclusion
IP Port Analyzer comes bundled with the necessary and suffice features that facilitate a user-friendly environment for analyzing ports opened by various programs with an Internet connection. It left a small footprint on system resources in our tests, using a low amount of CPU and RAM. Too bad that it hasn't been updated for a long time.
