IPSwitcher Basic Description
If you're using a laptop to access both the network at your office and the one at home, you probably know how frustrating it is to change the network configuration each time.
Well, all problems are gone right now because IPSwitcher Basic is here to provide a very fast way to switch from one network to another.
Especially aimed at users who connect to more than one network with the same computer, IPSwitcher Basic can store different configuration profiles and then allow users to switch from one to another in a matter of seconds.
It's all possible thanks to a very friendly interface, with a dedicated panel that shows the existing TCP configurations. You can modify settings for each profile, including the used adapter, configuration name, IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS options.
You can create as many network profiles as needed, with a single click required in the main window in order to switch to another configuration.
What's more, the application comes with multiple startup options, allowing you to enable a specific configuration when Windows starts.
The application is most of the time a user-friendly tool, so it's very unlikely to get lost in its GUI, but a help manual is however available to lend you a hand in case it's needed. A quick guide is also included in the package, so make sure you have a look in there if you need more information.
All things considered, IPSwitcher Basic is a pretty helpful product that works okay on all Windows versions. It lacks keyboard shortcuts, but it offers a System Tray icon to quickly switch to a different network profile.
