iPWebCam Central

iPWebCam Central works as a local server, providing you with a method to share live webcam streaming across the network. With its help, you can broadcast videos in real-time across multiple computers in the same network, whether it is a Wi-Fi or a wired one.

Easy to configure and work with

Working with this application shouldn't be difficult at all, especially since it features a minimalistic interface and accessible options. In order to start the server on your computer, you must specify the port to use for broadcasting images captured with the connected webcam and press the designated button within the main window.
In order to access your webcam, other users in the network must use a web browser to navigate to the 'localhost', followed by the port number. Provided they have Microsoft Silverlight installed on their system, their computers will act as a client for the server application, enabling them to connect to your webcam.
Unfortunately, iPWebCam Central only transmits videos at a 320 x 240 Resolution, without offering you the possibility to change this setting.

Implements an authentication system

One of the most important advantages of the application is that it can optionally restrict the access of other users to viewing your webcam by specifying a custom username and password. Thereby, users that wants to connect to your webcam using their computer are not granted access unless they provide the correct credentials in the authentication form.

iPWebCam Central can help you implement a real monitoring system, provided you run the server on multiple computers, with different connection settings. It is capable of capturing images from the connected or incorporated webcam and broadcasting them across the network, allowing other workstations or portable devices (such as smartphones or tablets) to watch the video stream in real-time.
