JA Touch Description
A computer remembers quite the variety of actions you perform, and some of them are embedded in files. For instance, every type of file has details related to creation, access, and modified date, which can be quite useful on the long run. These values can be modified, but you need to use specialized applications like JA Touch.
Organized interface quickly gets you up and running
On the bright side of things, JA Touch comes in a lightweight package which doesn’t require installation to function, so you can take it for a spin from the moment it reaches your computer. More than that, it can easily be carried around on a thumb drive to use on different computers, because registry entries are not modified, thus keeping the health status intact.
The application holds all of its features in a pretty compact window, but manages to keep everything well-organized, with detailed descriptions of the process, and intuitive tags for its requirement fields and functions, thus keeping accommodation efforts to a minimum.
Several ways to set new time values
As stated, you get to apply changes on the spot to files you either drop over the window, or select through the browse dialog, but there’s no context menu integration to quickly apply a predefined set of values. You have the liberty to apply timestamp changes to one or more files at a time, which adds a lot to flexibility.
There are several ways to define the new timestamp. As such, you can apply the current system time settings, or use the dedicated sliders to set year, month, day, hour, minute, second, and even millisecond. It’s possible to grab original values, while applicable areas count as creation, last-access, and modified time.
In conclusion
To sum it up, JA Touch is a reliable choice when you need to modify the timestamp of one or more files. These settings can be applied to creation time, last-access, and modified time, with the possibility to either implement the system time, or a custom value you easily set.
