JPEG Picture Auto-Rotator Description

JPEG Picture Auto-Rotator is a lightweight application designed to automatically rotate digital pictures (in JEPG format) based on their EXIF information.
Any modern digital camera stores orientation info inside the EXIF header of the images captured with it, which is enough for third-party software to restore the correct orientation of the pictures.
Such a software is JPEG Picture Auto-Rotator, a very small, yet efficient utility that can batch rotate a collection of photos from command line. It’s fit for scenarios where you have a large set of digital images and need a quick solution that spears you the effort of rotating each and one of the items manually.
The command line approach might seem uncomfortable at first, but trust us, it has its upsides. Our experience has shown that similar software use a context menu technique, allowing you to process only one file at a time, whereas JPEG Picture Auto-Rotator has the upper advantage of being able to convert as many images as you want.
There are two different ways you can use it; the first one is for processing photos individually and requires that you specify the program’s path and the file name of the photo to be converted, while the second one allows for batch conversion and needs you to specify the path of the directory that contains the source images.
JPEG Picture Auto-Rotator detects which pictures have an incorrect rotation based on their EXIF info and fixes it on the spot, notifying you accordingly by displaying specific messages in the command line window.
To sum it up, the application is not difficult to operate, although it might seem that way because of its command line approach, and more importantly, it carries out the job very quickly and efficiently.
