Kaseto

There is a multitude of audio players you can choose from when listening to music on your PC, ranging from complex applications aimed at experts to simple tools for less demanding users.
Kaseto is a fairly straightforward program that provides you with a quick and easy way to play and organize your music collection. It is still under development, so it only offers a limited number of features at present, but it looks quite promising.

Lightweight application that keeps things simple

The installation process is not at all complex, and the program can be put to use as soon as the operation is completed, as no other configurations need to be performed.
Essentially, the only thing you need to do after setting up Kaseto is provide the local path to your music collection. The application will import all the supported files automatically and organize them based on their tags. The following formats are currently supported: MP3, FLAC, M4A, OGG and WMA.

Filter your songs using various criteria

Once you have loaded your collection, you can browse through the imported songs by clicking one of the categories listed in the left-hand region of the main window. By doing so, you can filter your songs based on album, genre or artist.
Naturally, Kaseto can only organize your files effectively if their associated tags contain all the required information.

Simple music player that offers a limited range of features

When it comes to playback, the application only allows you to play or pause the current track and skip forward of backward. Seeking is not supported, and you cannot change the audio volume, but it is possible to shuffle the tracks or enable repeat.
The user interface features a clear, intuitive layout, but it is not possible to customize it in any way.
All in all, Kaseto is a lightweight, minimalistic audio player that enables you to play and manage your music collection. It does not offer a lot of features at present, but it could become a good alternative to established applications in the future.
