KB MP3 Database

We all keep a folder on our computers, with all of our all time favorite songs or have an entire collection of songs by our favorite artists.
However, sometimes it can be quite annoying to search through all of our directories or CDs in order to find a certain song or album. KB MP3 Database helps you create and manage your own database with MP3 files.

Simple and straightforward graphical interface

The application installs quickly and it sports a really intuitive and straightforward graphical interface that makes it easy to navigate through various sections.
It would have been nice if you could adjust some customization options and maybe change the interface theme or color. It lacks any tips and instructions on how to use the application, but the layout is quite intuitive so you wouldn't need them.

Create and manage a database of mp3 files

The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to choose a directory to import files. You can have it scan entire directories on your computer or CDs that you load in your system.
It doesn't take long to scan directories and it displays the number of new mp3 files, updated audio files and the total. All found items are automatically displayed inside the database, it mentions the file name, directory, size and length. Scans don't take long to perform, but that also depends on the whole number of files on your directory.

Some options and tools

It comes with the option to play the songs in your database, but this feature doesn't really work. You can change the file name on selected files to the artist or title from the ID3 tag. You can also remove ID3 from selected files and delete files from the database.
You can edit ID3 information tags, like artist name, title, album, year, genre and add a comment. It also comes with the option to drag column headers to group them in a certain way.
All in all, KB MP3 Database is a small and neat application that allows you to create a database with mp3 files, but it would have been nice if it had some more tools.
