KevTerm Description
KevTerm is a simple Telnet client designed specifically for helping you emulate VT100/ANSI terminals.
The comfort of working with portable tools
The portable running mode allows you to run the utility by simply opening the executable file (there’s no setup included in the process). Uninstalling the program means deleting the files that you have downloaded from the Internet.
Additionally, you can store it on USB flash drives or other portable devices and carry it with you. The tool does not leave entries in your Windows registry and other configuration files in your system.
Establish a new connection
KevTerm gives you the possibility to set up a new connection by providing details about the host, port number, and description. A session history is kept with all your connections so you can easily activate the preferred one or delete it in case you do not longer need it.
Configuration settings
The application lets you cut or copy data, copy or clear the buffer, make use of preset hotkeys for faster actions, print the information, and automatically close the main window when the connection is lost.
What’s more, KevTerm is able to reveal a notification message when the remote host closes the connection, and display ‘open connection’ panel when the program starts for quickly setting up a new connection.
Last but not least, you are allowed to change the background color, alter the text in terms of font, font style, size and color, keep logs, modify macro keys, as well as configure terminal properties by selecting the emulation type (VT100 or ANSI), arrow key mode (application or cursor), and screen settings (width, height, buffer).
Bottom line
All things considered, KevTerm integrates an essential feature pack for helping you emulate VT100/ANSI terminals, and can be handled by beginners and professionals alike.
