Keycode finder Description
Although used in almost every part of computer activities, plain characters can be toggled through custom types of code. This can enhance code writing, or can even be a requirement. Luckily, you can try out Keycode finder in order to instantly find out the assigned keycode to every button on your keyboard.
Can be used on the go
For starters, the application comes in a lightweight package and saves you the effort of pressing a few “next†buttons to see the setup process reach an end. As such, it can pretty well sit on a USB flash drive so you can use it regardless of the computer you’re working on, and this is done without any worries that stability is affected, because registry entries remain intact.
Keycodes are numerical values attributed to most characters and keyboard buttons and are widely found in programming. It can be used with JavaScript coding, CSS, and a lot more so that read and write operations are easily set according to keycodes, thus eliminating the error of overlapping with different characters or lines of code.
Instant display of keycodes
The interface is split into two sections, one of which only holds a useful set of details to quickly get you up and running, as well as to explain the process. The other half is where all interaction is done, which mostly means for you to press plain, or combination of buttons on your keyboard to reveal corresponding code.
A text pad is where a history of pressed keys is displayed. However, it can easily be edited and keycodes are only shown for the last pressed button. The list of tests can be saved by copying it to clipboard, but without appropriate keycodes attached, there’s little to no use to this save operation.
To end with
In conclusion, Keycode finder comes with a straightforward purpose, and that’s to deliver the numerical code for buttons on your keyboard. Sadly, you can’t view the entire list, or export all requested characters along with their corresponding code.
