Keylogger Description
Keylogger is a small Windows application designed with a single goal in mind: to help you record the keystrokes in only a few steps.
The advantages of being portable
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to record keystrokes on the fly, without having to go through installation steps.
Minimalistic looks and main features
Keylogger sports a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to configure the dedicated parameters with minimum effort.
The utility gives you the possibility to start the monitoring process and view the keys that you have typed revealed in a dedicated panel. Additionally, you can specify the time when Keylogger displays the window with the recorded text, and pick the saving directory where the document can be exported to TXT file format.
The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal tool for rookies who are looking for nothing more than a simple-to-use application that comes bundled with basic features.
However, rookies may find it pretty inconvenient to work with a program that doesn’t offer support for advanced features. You cannot use hotkeys, activate a hidden mode, so other users don’t notice that you are monitoring their key presses, and schedule the monitoring process, just to name a few suggestions.
During our testing we have noticed that Keylogger carries out a task very quickly. On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a while, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
Bottom line
All things considered, Keylogger seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use tool that provides you with basic functions for helping you record all keystrokes.
