This software provides a great tool to help language learners improve their language listening skills, especially listening dictation. Dictation is a very effective technique for language learners to improve their listening ability, as well their spelling and grammar levels. However, listening materials downloaded from internet are usually too fast for dictation. Tools to allow repeated listening to selected segments of an audio file is very helpful for learning dictation. This software provides the following features to help improve listening dictation: A: generation of a sound spectrum for an audio file (a MP3 or PCM Wav file). B: recognition of speech intervals and automatic generation of break marks at speech intervals. C: manual addition and removal of break marks. D: repeated play of audio segments between break marks.
