In order to create a new synchronization job, two folders need to be chosen. The app offers three different options regarding the direction where you want to copy the changes to. Furthermore, the frequency of the sync jobs can be set. These can be done on a predetermined schedule, such as every day, on certain days only, every month or on a certain date. Another option is to initialize the sync jobs manually.
PCsync can further restrict the process to only certain file types. For instance, you can have the program copy only images (JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF, PCT, EPS), videos (MPG, AVI, WMV, MOV, MPEG, MP4), music (MP3) or text files. Other formats can be added as well.
Transferring files can be done just as easy, through two side-by-side windows, thus speeding the entire process. The app can back up files between PCs, removable drives, as well as over a wired or wireless LAN network.
