Leg Before Widget

Leg Before Widget is a small application developed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, that informs you of the latest results from the cricket world, straight on your desktop. It is easy to install and configure.
The interface of the program is represented by a small frame which looks a bit unusual, but you can move it to any spot on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
A list of the latest cricket scores is automatically shown in the primary window upon deployment; you can view the team names and scores.
Unfortunately, you cannot access the webpage from where this information is derived, or view the match dates. Furthermore, Leg Before Widget does not sport any customizable options of its own.
With the courtesy of the default settings provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can set the frame to stay on top of other windows, to ignore mouse events and to prevent dragging. Plus, you can set its opacity level to a preset value, ranging between 20% and 100%.
The lightweight widget does not interfere with the runtime of other process, as it requires a very low quantity of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and performed well during our evaluation.
The Yahoo! Widget Engine project has been discontinued for a while, thus the app shall not be receiving any further updates. Thanks to its overall simplicity, first-time users can easily get familiarized with Leg Before Widget.
