Leo Description
Leo is a multi-purpose application that was designed to help certain computer users such as authors, web designers and programmers to enhance their workflows by enabling them to organize the data they work with. It is an IDE (Integrated Development Environment), PIM (Personal Information Manager) and outliner.
It is worth mentioning that without installing Python and PyQt on the target computer, the application wont work. During installation, users are required to specify the folder in which they have installed Python beforehand.
Leo integrates Python scripting and outlines completely. Therefore, outline structure is not omitted whenever outline data is being processed. It implements "@test" nodes and "@button" nodes natively. Leo-specific commands are assigned names.
The data is stored in nodes, which consist of headlines and body texts. The body text of the active node is displayed in the corresponding body pane. Node status is displayed in an icon box that is attached to the headlines.
Users can perform basic file operations such as generating a new document, opening an existing one or saving the outline. More functions include switching focus by hiding or showing certain panes, changing the focus to the outline pane and toggling it between outline or body panes.System requirementsPython
