Little Intelligent Antivirus

Little Intelligent Antivirus is a small antivirus application whose purpose is to help you scan your computer for threats and remove them.
The tool can be installed on systems that already have an antivirus software program running on them in order to fight against malware, spyware, Trojans or other types of viruses using two weapons. It can also be deployed individually.

User interface

The GUI looks plain and simplistic. It implements the main features of the program that you can easily have access to, namely scanning mode, settings, help manual, and updates.
The help manual is actually a plain text file that provides short descriptions about the program’s capabilities.

Scanning mode

Little Intelligent Antivirus offers support for a single scanning option that allows you to look for viruses in your local drives, custom folder, or file. At the end of the task, the tool reveals information about the total number of scanned items, infected and removed files.
We have tested the utility on Windows 8.1 Pro and noticed that the scanning process is slow. The utility is not quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer may be hampered.
There’s no support for a smart scanning mode that could help you scan only some predefined areas of your computer very quickly.

Configuration settings

Little Intelligent Antivirus embeds only a minimalistic suite of configuration settings. You can enable or disable the heuristic mode for detecting unknown viruses in your system that have not yet been identified.
What’s more, you define the action that is performed when an infected file is found present on your system, namely delete or ignore it..

Needs improvements and updates

To sum things up, Little Intelligent Antivirus embeds only some basic antivirus tools for helping you detect threats that may affect the health and stability of your system. However, it hasn’t been updated for a long time so it fails in detecting the latest viruses.
It lacks many handy features, such as log files, protection statistics, scheduler, quarantine, alerts and notifications, email client and web protection, and custom scanning modes with filters.
