If you’re one of the millions of fans of “Lost”, one of the most successful TV series in the past years, then you’re probably going to enjoy this gadget. Lost Widget is a small program designed to keep you entertained.
The app has a simple interface that was inspired by the “Dharma Initiative” computer on the TV show.
Basically, the widget includes a computer screen with a blinking cursor and a flipping countdown timer. Just as it happened in “Lost” you must enter the numbers “4 8 15 16 23 42” into the computer every 108 minutes. If you fail to do this, the app can perform several tasks.
The app can automatically come into focus when there are only 4 minutes remaining of the timer. The aforementioned numbers may only be typed in in this time interval.
An ending action may be chosen from the app’s settings area. Thus, the program can send the system into standby mode, shut it down or restart the computer.
Several other details may be customized as well, such as the monitor and timer size. The program can also display the “Execute” button and the blinking cursor, although the latter one is only viewable when the monitor size is at 100%.
Furthermore, certain details regarding the count-down timer can be modified as well. Thus, you may enable a flipping sound and an animation each time the numbers change.
