Lyric Viewer

Lyric Viewer is an open-source and portable application that provides a user-friendly environment for viewing, creating, saving and merging lyrics files. It can be easily used, even by people with limited background in such tools.
The only format that Lyric Viewer works with it is DOC, supported by Microsoft Word. The fact that it's portable implies that you can drop the program files to any spot on the hard drive and run the EXE item immediately.
It is also possible to move Lyric Viewer to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, thus running it on any workstation with minimum effort.
More importantly, the Windows Registry does not get new updates with entries, and files do not remain on the hard disk after removing the utility.
The app's interface is not visually impressive in any way, but easy to work it. The uncomplicated window comes with a minimalistic layout, where you can add a new song by writing the lyrics and editing the artist, title, album, comment, year and track number.
You can save the files to the hard drive by establishing an output file name and directory, as well as merge multiple items into a single file. Moreover, you can duplicate lyrics files, format the font, use a search function when dealing with a large database, sort items by the aforementioned song details, as well as locate duplicates on the hard drive.
The application is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without hanging, crashing or showing error notifications. However, Lyric Viewer has not been updated for a very long time.
