Also, Makhaon DICOM Dump enables you to add new elements in the detailed report, then view the image that a DICOM file contains.  
To sum things up, these DICOM files are not as simple to work with as we may think. Taking into consideration the main purpose these files were created for, not many apps provide support for viewing and editing them.
