Makhaon Worklist Server Description
Makhaon Worklist Server is an advanced application designed for the entry and retrieval of patient information lists from various DICOM devices.
The utility is fairly simple to understand and work with, the main window of Makhaon Worklist Server displaying research study cases by date of creation or by scheduled time. Each individual entry can be marked as 'Completed' when it has been performed, or 'Today' when it is on going.
The program enables users to manually input new study cases into the database, by specifying a series of important information, such as name, gender, date of birth, address, insurance policy, case history, category, study date and time, body part, refer doctor but also the name of the device that will be used in the study. The created entries can later be used as templates.
Moreover, Makhaon Worklist Server has to ability to inquire a patient list from an institution's informational system.
This piece of software supports virtually all DICOM devices, with several modalities per machine. In addition, it offers support for OLE interfaces in adding worklist items. The entries can later be modified or removed, depending on users' needs.
By creating a consistent worklist containing the same patient information, regardless of the used DICOM device, Makhaon Worklist Server can reduce the risk of mistakes in a patient's research study, as well as increase productivity for all those involved.
Despite the fact that it is quite easy to use, the only minus of this tool is the lack of a 'Help' file or 'User's Manual' in a variety of languages, or at least English, that could detail the functionality of the program to its users.
Makhaon Worklist Server is a comprehensive application that can prove useful in any medical institution, by assuring informational consistency of patients' study cases, while also simplifying the data entry process.
